Acrylic sealant is a one-part sealant based on a water- or solvent-based acrylic resin which cures at room temperature initiated by the evaporation of the water or solvent.
Acrylic sealants are said to be plasto-elastic, i.e. they have the characteristics of both plastics and elastomers.
They are suited to applications in which small movements need to be accommodated and adhere well to porous materials: wood, concrete, plaster, etc. They are particularly used in the form of acrylic sealant sealants in the construction sector.
