XAVAN® is a non-woven film made of polypropylene fibres distributed in such a way as to obtain a uniform structure with good mechanical properties in both axes of the structure’s.

The fibres are spun to form a multi-directional layer, hot-bonded at the points of contact.

XAVAN® is an exceptionally robust yet lightweight film. Originally used as a weed control fabric or pond liner, it is now also used as a backing for pressure-sensitive adhesives (e.g. in shoe manufacture) and also as a strengthening layer.

The structure of XAVAN® delivers excellent tensile strength and resistance to tearing and perforation.

Compared with more traditional products, XAVAN® is a lightweight product which means that it offers better performance and savings, particularly in terms of installation time and manpower.
